ARAM TANIS

Seoul... Tokyo... Beijing... Aram Tanis has traveled to these three cities several times over a period of seven years, photographing not only the multi-lane highways, huge parking lots, offices and residential high-rises, but also the more detailed objects and the animals that play a big part in the every day life, all those elements which create an atmosphere and vibe that is typical of Asia.

Mart House Gallery presents this work as a photo-installation of 15 large scale photographs divided over two floors and a light court with 10-meter high walls, from January 10th till March 7th 2009 at Prinsengracht 529 in Amsterdam. This show will be accompanied by a book and 3 multiples containing 2 photographs in an edition of 10, which will also be presented at Art Rotterdam.
